Uncertain Waters

The waves crash against me.

Drops fall from the sky.

Temperatures turn cold.

Thoughts wonder of why?

Though I cannot see You

and though I wish to know

the mystery You hold within.

You still have yet to show.

Sand sinks beneath me

and yet You grasp my hand.

Though I’m in uncertain waters

You continue to let me stand.

  1. Great poem. I am experiencing this as to my direction for the next chapter in life. Even though I cannot hear God through faith I know He is there. Patience is not a virtue but I am growing.
