How often do we wish we could press a button and begin again? What if I were to tell you we could? Not in some dramatic sci-fi story, but truthfully.
No, the method I speak of doesn’t contain the rewind button. What is done will still be done.
But it does allow a small break. A brief moment to take a breath.
What is it?
It’s the start of a new day.
Each day forward is one step away from the past. New hope. Renewal.
Sometimes all we need from life is a break. Maybe we went to bed fearful, but we wake up with hope.
Despite the harder parts of life, even the parts we dread, each day gives us a promise.
There is a beginning and an end.
What we go through will not determine the rest of our life.
No, the hard stuff will pass. New happiness will brighten our life.
And when clouds come in, well, maybe, we’ll remember the sunshine.
(NIV) Psalms 33:20, “We wait in hope for the Lord; He is our help, and our shield.”
