When we struggle and want a stronger faith, it’s time to listen to this week’s song.
“Faith Like That,” Jonah33
The purpose of this song is to speak of the desire and longing for faith. Faith stronger than what we originally have on our own. Faith not created from our own hands, but from God’s Spirit within us.
The singer begins thinking of the days of the Bible, the men that followed Jesus. How they saw the miracles performed and they were made to be the few.
He wants to be like them. He wants a faith like the disciples.
It isn’t about whipping out supernatural acts. Instead, it is about knowing what Christ wants out of us. Knowing on our own, we don’t have what it takes.
Thus the desire for this deep faith is sown.
A desire for faith to move mountains, but beyond even that. A faith in which the bond with Christ is never broken. A tie strengthened between our soul and the Holy Spirit who lives in us.
