Stumbling Block To Others

A gentle word stirs kindness.

But a harsh word stirs wrath.

Where are we in our walk with Christ?

Are we kind to each other or do we constantly rebuke?

Showing the light of Christ should be done out of humility. Not pride, and not with the intention to correct.

What are we to others?

How close to Jesus are we? Does it match what we proclaim to ourselves and others?

Let us not be a stumbling block to those in Christ, and those who may want to get to know Him. May we be aware of our words, and our actions. May we be like Jesus in everything we say and do.

(NKJ) Romans 14:13, “Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother’s way.”

      1. I think we can all be stumbling blocks in one way or another. But God uses our struggles to humble us, give us experience, so that we grow in His Spirit, use us as examples to others, and above all give Him glory. As long as we become aware, seek forgiveness, grow in Him, and are humbled, I think God will still say, “Well done, My good and faithful servant.”

      2. I agree that’s why I try to only post His Word and give encouragement. I feel no matter what a person feels or believes something means, I will divert to the question, Do you believe Jesus Died for your sins, and is your personal Saviour. Other debates, are not important. As long as they are in that belief of Jesus, God will work with them to sort out the rest. 🙂
