Midweek Inspiration | Purpose In Trials

One of my favorite songs is Lift Me Up, by The Afters. It is packed full of the reassurance that even in the darkest of times, the times when we are so unsure, unhappy with ourselves, can’t face ourselves, that even then, God loves us.

He loves us through our trials enough to teach us through them.

In this world, so many people suffer and become fearful of circumstances, especially because they bear the fear/pain on their own. Even with a circle of support, it just isn’t the same.

But through the love of Jesus Christ, He bears what we bear WITH US. Not only externally is God there, but internally He is with us. Trials can strengthen us because it is testing of our faith.

Through testing we gain endurance.

Through endurance we learn perseverance.

Strength radiating from the fire of the Holy Spirit, encouraging our weary heart.

We are not alone, not ever.

How do you think one goes from being a soldier to a warrior? 😉

We must be refined.

Amen.

  1. You know, it’s just like you know my Mind. I’ve never had God work out my provisions like the past three months. He never let me go starving or wanting. Infact when i thought my back was against the wall He made WAYS. To be honest with you God had made Me trust Him soo much to the extent that i don’t fear lack though Sometimes its hard to keep holding on. Thanks for lifting my spirit 😀
