We tend to struggle seeing a completed goal before we’ve accomplished steps of reaching a goal.
We haven’t started, yet we are focused on the end result. This is a problem.
Endurance isn’t given, it’s learned. Perseverance comes from endurance. All parts of this equation relate to starting, continuing, and not giving up before we reach accomplishment.
Often times when we feel overwhelmed it’s because we are unrealistic with our goals and desires.
When Christ told us He would give us the desires of our heart, He wasn’t talking about selfish ones. He wasn’t talking about ones that allow us to remain lazy and unproductive either.
And it doesn’t mean the impossible can’t happen. But we must start at the beginning.
After we realize this, we then need to actually start walking forward. ๐
Every small task leads to a greater goal.ย
Have you planned too big?ย
Have you accomplished what you thought was impossible?ย
I like this post. T.R. Noble. Endurance and Perseverance are key with God and the race we run in our lives.
Athletes train to build up their endurance and so should we as Christians and the body of Christ. In order to run the race of life, we can’t be lazy and just jog; we have to RUN and KEEP RUNNING until we finally cross the finish line.

I thought this same thing reading this post. Thank you T.R. for the post! I get caught up in not seeing the big picture but as I have grown and been through difficulties and seen them work out, I have learned to keep my trust in Him and press on, moving one step at a time. I wish that it were easier to help people understand this. Easier said than done though, thats for sure!

Amen!!! We want to be secure through uncertainty and I think for many that is only through physical, tangible knowledge. Christ gives us this, but not in the way most imagine. Thank you for your honest comment ๐

Yes, we most certainly should. ๐ Perhaps that’s why we are told to run the race as athletes in scripture.

Amen! So true, I’ve planned big before, but now I realized the most important thing to have in this life is an ultimate relationship with Jesus Christ! I don’t focus on my successions anymore, just Jesus! Whatever he has in store for me I’m tremendously, humble & thankful๐
