Alphabet Devotional | “G”

On last week’s “episode” of Alphabet Devotional | “F” here is what you fantastic readers out there came up with.

Cassie Morgan said, “Faith. nothing is greater then the faithfulness of our God. Have Faith in God because he has faith in you. ❤”

Tammy7711 said, “He’s a Father to the fatherless. He’s also Faithful! And he’s also a Fearless and Fervent God! I love him so much! 😊🙏🙏”

Buttercup said, “God is our friend and our fortress. Our forgiver and the author of our faith ❤”

…And because one commenter was really creative, I’m adding a fourth.

Evad Mac said, “As new creations in Christ we should be FILLING ourselves with the word daily. FLEEING from unhealthy relationships and FLYING into healthy growth promoting communities of believers. By doing this we will add FLAVOUR into our own lives and the world around us.”

Other word choice was freedom. 🙂

Powerful stuff everyone!!! Multiple people were focused on the words father and faith. Amen!!!

This Week’s Letter, “G”

Gentle

Compassionate, understanding, good natured, merciful, and sympathetic.

How kind is our King who is gentle to us.

Growth

Process of maturing physically.

This is so crucial and important in our relationship with Christ. We need to keep growing in His Spirit, in His word, and in our life. Growing in all aspects of the true vine will reflect within us, and being the salt of the earth, other people will see it too. 🙂

(NLT) 2 Corinthians 9:10, “For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, He will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.”

What “G” words can you think of?

  1. Goodness! “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.” Psalm 23:6
No matter what we do or where we go, He is good to us, always. His love is boundless. He’s truly an amazing loving Dad!

  2. The “G” word that I can come up with for God is “GIVER” because He ‘gave’ us the breath of life and brought us into existence. He ‘gave’ us His only begotten Son so that we as Christians and flawed human beings could come into a relationship with Him.

God is ‘giving’ us a chance everyday to change our thinking and life towards Him.

  3. Godliness – As Christians we strive to make ourselves more into the image of Christ. In Godliness we exhibit a response to God that goes against our very nature. It’s something that is desirable for us, and yet impossible for us to attain on our own, it is only through the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit that we can begin to approach Godliness. The word Godliness appears 15 times in the New Testament, yet if you ponder just what the word means, you’ll begin to see that Godliness is what the Bible is about. It’s a word that we don’t talk about much, but perhaps we should.
