We can sometimes be overly ambitious. We want everything to be done immediately, in a particular order.
Sometimes it’s daily chores or daily goals.
As much as we work on being successful in progress, we must make sure we take the time to rest and take breaks as well.
Take some time to breathe. To talk to God. To glorify Him. To meditate on His word.
Take time to live life.
(NIV) Psalm 150:06, “Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.”
Have you needed to take a break?Ā
When was the last time you took a break?Ā
Last month I decided to take every Friday off work for the rest of the year. It was much needed.

I agree. I feel that we do need breaks in our lives because it we don’t we will just run ourselves down.

A couple of great questions there T.R and spot on with your words. I reckon I need to create some new habits for 2018 when it comes to technology use. Not reducing this stuff for the sake of it but to spend time with God instead during these times. I haven’t always found that easy.

Awesome T.R. how crazy is this stuff. Its funny cause there is plenty of teaching on this around but the danger is we put aside the technology or fast from social media and instead of pressing in, studying and meditating on the word or being still and knowing he is God, we instead find other ways to distract ourselves lol. Maybe we could do a joint post or something like that in 2018 as we both learn stuff about that. Either way I am keen to hear of your progress with that stuff.

We try to have every Sunday be technology-free. It forces my husband and I to turn away from working on our computer, and the kids from their tablets, and just enjoy each other’s company in between church services. God certainly knew we needed that day of rest!

Thanks for reminding me this. I only have one off day per week for work and I feel like it’s just not enough. Breaks really are important for ourselves š
