Community Prayer Requests | January ’18

This post is updated, sometimes daily, please check in for updates, answered prayers, and for continued prayer over the requests. Thank you!

Let’s work together on prayer by praying for each other and lifting up our needs. Christ said where two or more are gathered in His name, and there are definitely more than two of us. Let us come together to Him even if we are miles apart. Let us lift up our brothers and sisters in Christ and anyone who can join the body of Christ.

Purpose- Draw Closer To God, Draw Closer To The Community, See Answered Prayers

I want us as a community to pray for a month. I want to work on giving time to Christ and increasing faith. Prayer can be one of the most powerful ways we go to Christ, we are to come to Him boldly, and believe.

Please Comment Below – If any of these requests are answered in this month, if you have answered prayer (even not listed) please comment below.

If God reached out to you during this month of prayer, please share how He reached you down below.

I want to share how God can use His people and answer prayers.

Here are prayer requests for the month of January.

A friend – A young woman who went to high school with me is in the hospital until delivery for her baby as she has preeclampsia. Please uplift her, her husband, the baby, and the doctors and nurses. Pray for safe delivery, and healing.

Herring Family– Family has found strength through prayers over their newborn daughter Selah, but God wanted Selah to be with Him. Prayers for comfort, peace, and assurance be lifted up for the family.

My Thoughts Exactly requested prayer for family to find a strong thirst in Christ and in His word, as well as financial help from God.

Tamara shared a post on her son. I know she needs prayers of acceptance from other Christians. I’m adding that God continues to guide her, her son, the doctors involved, and for His hand to be evident to her.

Bond0servant mentioned prayers for church and holiness preaching.

Lea– She is going through stress with the upcoming year, commitments to activities, wondering what college to go to, and feeling a lot of fear and worry. I’m asking we pray that she is encouraged and strengthened by God. That He guides her to where she needs to be and she can feel assurance.

Biblebloggergirl requested prayer for RC, he has colon cancer and it is aggressive. She also requested prayer for a family she knows. The Friday after Christmas their house burned down.

-Let’s pray for peace, comfort, healing, and assurance. For RC and this family to feel love, and for God to provide.

God’s Warrior requested, “That God guides me in His truth and that as I go through my Spring semester of college, that He comforts me and helps me remember the material.”

BelleUnruh– requested wisdom for caring for her mother who has cancer. BelleUnruh shared she struggles every day with fear and worry of mistakes.

-I’m going to ask we also pray for confidence, assurance, strength, comfort, encouragement, for scripture to equip her and above all for her to feel Christ and His peace, especially when the waters are overwhelming.

You Are Full Of It– requests, “Asking for prayer that I have complete confidence in the Lord and what He has in store. Help with financial hope and peace as we continue to work on being debt free. To remain usable and obedient to the Lord. Finally for families in the adoption process to receive all the funds they need to adopt debt free.”

Simply Megan Joy– requests, A prayer request from me: please pray for my grandparents’ health, as they have been in and out of the hospital since Christmas Eve.”

Maddy– requests prayers for her kidney. It hasn’t been working. Let’s lift this up to God and asking for healing and protection.

Evad Mac– requested, “A prayer request from me please and thank ya – that I would really seek God about his direction, that I would invest time and not just a few minutes here and there kind of thing to hear from him.”

-I’m going to add we ask God prick his spirit more so he can feel the need for time with God, and that he feels the desire to give God more time.

Red Letters– requested, “For reconciliation a close family member.”

-May this come swiftly. Whatever needs to happen or to be said.

ANSWERED -Hayley also mentioned she is preparing to lead worship soon and she has experienced spiritual warfare because of it. People are going against her. I’m asking we pray for assurance given to Hayley, that anyone who is against this and trying to stumble her as a believer have their spirits pricked and rebuked. I also ask that Hayley be guided so she can see how God will use her and find strength in Him more. ❤

Following Him– requested, “I’d love prayers to keep the fear and anxiety away. 😊

-She expressed she was experiencing a panic attack, and this one was hardcore. But when she called on Christ, it stopped. Let’s ask for Jesus to increase her faith and courage as well.

Growing Through Something–  I’m going to ask to please lift her family up.
The Young Theologian– requested- “Please pray that I find out soon if I was accepted to Bob Jones University.”
Leigh– requested- “I have several health issues that are preventing me from working so I am in the process of trying to get disability. Because I’m only 34 I think my age may be against me in the case but I really need to win because I cannot work anymore and things are extremely tight financially. Could you please pray that God give the judge wisdom in deciding if I get approved or not? Thank you!”
Let’s lift her up and ask for deliverance!
Sue LoveSue has shared very honestly on her blog things she has gone through, and issues her husband has that is brought into the marriage. There has been a breakthrough. But Satan and darkness aren’t so easy to let go of a sin and habits kept for decades.
-I ask we lift up her husband, Rick, for God to continually guide his spirit to truth and prick his spirit so he knows what path to stay on.
-I ask we lift up Sue. She is starting a series of posts to help other women who have been in her situation. I ask for guidance for Sue, and for those who need to read her posts, see them.
-I also ask we lift up Sue, and ask God to help her against any fear, and continually anoint her in His peace and His love.
Maggie– Update: Valerie has delivered a beautiful baby girl. Continued prayers for the family, and healing for Valerie.
Andrea & William / Gema & GeorgeThese are my friends I made in Little Rock. They each have a church in different parts of Little Rock.
-Please pray for the doors to be opened. For people to go to church, hear the truth, find community in these amazing families. For those who have faithful in attending that they are blessed, and lights on a hill for others to see and hear the truth of Christ.

My prayer– That my husband is guided in the job field he needs to be in, and the Lord provides for finances and helps me budget.

  1. Thank you for your prayers for me and Rick at this time. We greatly need them.

Wow! There surely are a lot of prayer needs here. I will get back to this later. Praying right now for the needs represented here to be met according to God’s will and purposes, for peace of mind and heart for those troubled of heart, for encouragement for the downtrodden, for relief from distress, for healing of wounded souls, minds, emotions and bodies, and for all of us to put our complete faith and trust in our Lord for all things.

What a mighty God we serve! Amen!

    1. Amen! Yes, I didn’t know how the requests would happen, if I would get only a couple, but many people gradually opened up, and others mentioned something and I asked if I could add them so I am not only praying but others who join me. 🙂 I”m so thankful for how Christ has touched my heart showing me the power of community.

      1. God has done so much and has shown me so much. He continues to build upon the testimony of my writing and my calling of what He shows me. In a way, I don’t the words, and He provides them ❤ ❤

  3. I’ll be praying for you and everyone on the list! ❤ Also, is it okay if I reblog this post to spread the word? 🙂

I was going to comment on your other post but I was hesitant; I'm not used to asking for prayers, so I was feeling a bit awkward asking. 😅 "A few days ago, when I was finally starting to get better, I had a panic attack. It really felt like I was going to die. A friend suggested that I order the fear away, which I had not tried before, and it worked. Praise Jesus!" (Excerpt from a post I plan to put up tomorrow.) I know that it will probably take a bit of work to not go back there again, and I'd love prayers to keep the fear and anxiety away. 😊

    1. You know, it’s okay to feel awkward. 🙂 I understand exactly what you mean about asking for prayers, and I hope by sharing the community prayer requests more people open up ❤ it's something I am working on too. You may ABSOLUTELY repost ❤ I will add your prayer requests to the list 🙂 Praise Jesus for rebuking the attack. Breathing is also important too. What I've done is say to myself, "Breathe in the Holy Spirit," deep breath, "Let go of the bad," exhale. Putting focus on Christ does help our spirit and HIs Spirit can overwhelm and overcome all things in us ❤ Thanks for sharing 🙂

    1. Thank you so much! Just last night, I wrote down the requests to make sure I won’t miss anyone. ❤ I'm also praying for answered prayers so that these prayers could testify about God, and be used as a light on the hill for others.

    1. I can definitely add this. 🙂 If it is ok, I am going to add that the Lord prick your spirit more. You feel Him, and you become more aware you need to give Him time.

Something, we all should work on.

      1. I definitely treat it full time. I do set aside several hours some days for writing posts ahead of time too. 🙂 I want to be a Christian author, and oddly enough I didn’t start the blog to gain numbers, though I do believe God can use that to help me when I am ready to publish. I started the blog so I could reach people with my writing, for free, and God has taught me so much about endurance and using my writing for what He has called me to. 🙂

      2. Cool, interesting stuff to learn. I just learnt about the posting tool that does it for you after choosing the date lol- wowzR! I have never really understood the numbers thing. On Instagram it appeared I had many followers but if you looked closely many were ghost followers. It seems its the same here on wordpress. I see blogs with thousands of followers yet they might have around 40 likes and about the same comments. I’m not sure followers/numbers can be trusted. You clearly are reaching people though and that is awesome. I enjoy your corner of the internet Teresa Randel 😉

      3. I don’t really use Instagram, though I’ve started using Twitter. I love the community in WordPress and I really hope people are reached out to and God is glorified. I don’t understand the ghost followers, and I don’t see the point, that’s definitely when it is about the numbers. Numbers are important to me in regards to they represent real people. Real people who have feelings and are going through stuff. People who need to be encouraged and uplifted. 🙂 I’m so glad you enjoy my blog, thank you for the support and your awesome discussion comments. Teresa Randel sounds like an awesome character name. I’ll have to keep that in mind.

  7. I just wanted to thank you T.R. for this Community Prayer Requests. I think it’s a great way to allow us as Christians to come together and pray for one another.

I will definitely pray for these people and any more who come along. Christ loves it when we pray, but with a cheerful heart.
