Community Spotlight | February ’18

There have some amazing posts this past month, and I want to share with you the ones that really spoke to me. I hope they speak to you.

Check out the bloggers and listen to what they’re saying ๐Ÿ™‚

Life As A Believer – The Passing Away of Mark Salling – Sharon wrote a very honest and heartfelt post about the lies of Hollywood and deception. She discussed a number of points we as believers need to be aware of. We need to share the love of Christ and pray for those close to us, daily.

You Are Full Of It – Between The Circuits – Chantal wrote a beautiful post showing amazing symbolism between our life and a battery. Don’t let your life be drained!

Whatever Happens Rejoice – The Fire In Us Equips UsAbigail writes a very powerful post about how we should be focused on the security Christ gives us. She uplifts everyone to remember it is not about our weakness, but the One who strengthens the weary.

Heart Of The Journey- God Is Good – This post spoke to my heart. Victoria shares we can get caught up in our expectationsย of life, not truly knowing how things are going to work out. She reminds us that God knows what will happen. He is good to us and always has a plan.

His Perfect Timing- God Is With Us – His Perfect Timing usually shares an uplifting post, and I don’t believe I’ve ever left the blog disappointed. This post shares how even when we are uncertain or in bad situations we can call on Him, and God will be there. She shares some stories in which it appears the Lord is physically present. It’s amazing how great our God is!

Loved By The King Of Kings –ย How To Recognize & Overcome Prejudiceย –ย This post just a few days short of January, but I didn’t see it till February, which is why I am counting it. Ruth wrote a very eye-opening post that prejudice is not limited to skin color. We can often judge others. Status, wealth, looks, etc. She shared wonderful scriptures to bear in mind we should all work on.

I Believe- Reaching Outย – Beehopper wrote a beautiful poem about the importance of reaching out to others. We may be that one person’s hope and connection to them learning about Christ.

Grace Over Pain – The Name Of Jesus Christ – Efua shares a beautiful testimony of when she turned over her troubles to God. She shared the truth that we sometimes struggle because we don’t give God the smaller issues, only the big ones. Christ is sufficientย in all things, both the big and the small.

When I No Longer Desire God – This post Efua shares the truth in how we need to make time for God daily. Not everyone will have the same time frame. We need to work on giving Him our all, just like we give our all to the priorities in our life. He needs to be a priority. She shares suggestions and what works for her.

My Way Home – Accepted In The Beloved – What I really loved about this post is the honesty and how easy it is to relate to this. She shares a misconception she had early in marriage about her emotional needs. I know what it is like to struggle not liking yourself, and not realizing our value is found in Christ. We are enough in Him.

MONTH FAVORITE – The Way Online – Beat The Devil In Every Battle – Tamara shared everything I needed to be reminded of when it comes to the armor of God. There is nothing about this post I can’t uplift my hands to and say amen. SO MUCH TRUTH!

LoveNCourage- Back To The PointAlecia wrote a very open and powerful post. Pointing out how we sometimes get consumed with ourselves, and our wants, but not truly focusing on God. God created us not for the problems of this world but because He loves us.

Be Blessified –How To Be A Powerful Secret Cyber Missionary–ย Pastor Aldtric makes an amazing point of how when we have people come against us on social media or blogging because we are believers, or because of disputes that we should pray for them. Don’t tell them. Just simply lift up their name to Christ. He gives some suggestions as well on how to do this. I want to incorporate this more in my daily life. ๐Ÿ™‚

Why We Should Stop Saying Forgiveness Isn’t For Them This post is SO powerful. Pastor Aldtric made the distinction between the lie of the world, forgiveness is for us, when in truth forgiveness is not only for us, but the offender.

He made a powerful point of saying God did not forgive us for HIMSELF, He forgave us because He loves us.

Showers Of Grace Just A Mom My beautiful friend Grace started her blog last year with my complete support. Grace’s blog talks about awareness of mental illness, sharing her own experiences, and how she’s been growing. She also shares her life, and especially motherhood. She has a precious toddler, and she is now pregnant with another. This post focuses on what she gave up when she became a mom. Things that just don’t matter as much as they used to. But she’s learned she has gained so much back as well.

All You Need Is Jesus – On Trialย – Leigh shared a very honest and thought-provoking post. She poses the question if we were on trial, are we living a life that would convict us of being a Christian, tying the question to the scripture of God not knowing us. Really great read!

Doubledgedsword- Stories That Never Get Old– Dave shared a wonderful testimony of someone who converted from Hinduism to Christ. A quote stood out to this woman from C.S. Lewis, which was โ€œJesus Christ was either a liar, a lunatic or He was who He said He was.โ€ It really spoke to me too.

Create In Me – OMG Should Christians Use It?Faye writes a lovely post explaining how we really need to be careful with the phrases we say as a believer. I love her take on this and the depth she puts to the post.

Teen Meet God – My EssayBiblebloggergirl did a wonderful job covering the topic of why Christian music shouldn’t be scorned just because it sounds different from what we are used to. Sometimes we become focused on the wrong thing. She points out what we listen to we need to make sure it connects to scripture and Christ, and if it does, then there is no problem, even if it isn’t our favorite kind of music doesn’t give us a reason to not let others listen to it.

Lea’s Spiritual Journey- Fear Is A Liar–ย Lea has shared a beautiful breakthrough. She’s been sharing on her blog how she’s been struggling and today she shared part of the reasoning. We can be caught up in our fear that we are hindered from achieving what we need to, as well as run toward the purpose God has set in our life.

Noes To Knows- This Little Light Of Mineย Brooke shares a beautiful post about how God’s light guides us to Him even through darkness. It’s a powerful truth we all should hold onto.

InfineFettle- A Truly Simple Life Claire does a beautiful job in trying to get the reader, in this case, me, trying to slow down. She puts focus on what really matters in life, despite our chaos. Sharing my all time favorite scripture, “Be still and know I am God.”

~ I’m so thankful for being part of this community, and I hope you take the time to check out some or all of these amazing bloggers ๐Ÿ™‚ย

Month Scripture (NIV) Hebrews 12:07 & 11, โ€œEndure hardship as discipline. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.โ€

  1. These are some great blog posts T.R. I will definitely check them out. I like the monthly scripture because yes, discipline may be painful for a time, the discipline will only help to make us stronger and better people in Christ.
