Community Spotlight | April ’18

There is not meant to make anyone feel like they should aim to be on this list. I share the posts that speak to me throughout the month. That’s all. ๐Ÿ™‚ย

This is our fourth installment this year of community spotlight. I’m so thankful that I’ve gotten to meet new people and continue to grow in the friendships I’ve made from last year.

If you like checking out new bloggers, or enjoy the material matter below check out these amazing bloggers and their posts. ๐Ÿ™‚

Here are the posts that spoke to me this month.

Through Ink & Image- And Then, Sunday… – Lynn shares a beautiful post covering the mourning of Christ. She expresses the feelings and emotions shared by those who cared for Christ and those who feared Him. A powerful statement she shared is that God never intended for us to grieve, that was something we encountered because of sin. Yet, through our own grief, we can hear our Teacher speak our name.

Up Against It– This post by Lynn nearly brought me to tears. It’s a beautiful reminder of how we can be pinned against the wall in whatever problems we are going through in life, and God still has a plan. He still has a purposeย for us. He will be glorified and all praise will go to Him. โค

Called To Be A Writer- What If? – Mia shares a kind post about how she did what she could to save a baby squirrel. She ties this experience with the question, “What If,” with the encouragement to keep a positive perspective. What if these things happen because this is God’s way of taking care of us? We know in scripture Romans speaks of this, and Mia shares scripture in Matthew of how God will take care of us. โค

A Fractured Faith – Today I was Snubbed – A very honest post I think many of us can relate to. When our circle of friends is shattered. For those of us who have left a church and seemingly have overnight lost all contact with those who once proclaimed to be our friend.

Beehopper- Which Path Should I Take?-ย This is a lovely post that discussed the different direction God may take us in life compared to what direction we originally thinkย we need to go.

Help Me Believe- Why Are There So Many Bible Translations-ย This post covered some insights we should have when looking at translations. Some translations like The Message, for example, are meant to be read easier, but should always be read with another translation nearby.

Perfect Chaos- First Encounters With A Cult Steven shares a well-written excerpt from his book. Someone he knew had passed on and the women he was talking to proceed to discuss something he was surprised to hear.

Possess His Promises- 30 Blessings & 25 Responsibilities for Christians– Karen wrote a beautiful post filled with fruit-bearing scripture all from the book of Ephesians! She breaks down each one and where you can find it in scripture. Make sure you have a pen nearby, you’ll want to write this down too ๐Ÿ™‚

Walking On Unsteady Ground- I’m Bleeding, and I’m Okayย Katie shares a very honest post about where she is at in her life right now. She opens up about alcoholism and co-dependency. Sharing that it’s hard to be open with others and fears attached to that. She then shares all of the different things “bleeding” symbolically from her. Love. Hope. Faith. Her post is one I know many can relate to. Despite trials and fears, we feel His Spirit within us, and we know why we fight in His armor.

Whatever Happens Rejoice- Possessed By God– Abigail wrote a very relatable and honest post about how she sometimes feels distant from God. She opens up about convictions the Spirit places on her heart about making time for the Lord. She openly admits, as most of us can, we devote time to books, movies, games, etc more than we do to prayer or scripture reading. Very thought provoking and convicting!

Grace Abounds- A Story Of God’s Faithfulness– Rebekah shared an amazing testimony of how God answered prayer. I don’t want to give too much away, but it was a situation in which seemed hopeless, yet Rebekah listened to what God put on her heart, and the Lord provided the rest โค

Teen Meet God- Almost Makes You Believe In Godย Shae has shared a really nice and powerful post about God moving. She begins with the reminder we really shouldn’t worry just like her cat Miss. Potter. But she goes on to share a story of a missionary she heard and the amazing stories he had to share. Almost makes you believe in God. ๐Ÿ™‚

Love Joy Balance- Wholesome Wednesday Lindsay has shared a wonderful post on how we can give words of affirmations to spouses and kids.

The Buttercup Lamb- When Grace Doesn’t Seem Enough (Five Things To Remember) Rachel wrote this for mothers who fear they are not doing enough, but the message this post has honestly applied to everyone ๐Ÿ™‚ She states what moms need to be reminded of, in fact, things we all need โค Sharing five scriptures that help us remember His grace in our lives.

You Are Full Of It – What To Do After Your Prayers Are Answered – Very thought-provoking post on how we struggle with prayers, and even after God answers the big ones, we sometimes still lose focus.

Here is to another wonderful month and everyone’s blogging!!

      1. ๐Ÿ™‚ awesome! I’m so glad to hear that. I thought people would like it because I was trying to find a way to keep that message, and it was WAY too much for its own logo haha. But when I thought about changing my sign off, I was like, “Oh, wait! I can do this!” So, I was hoping people would enjoy it. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. T.R., Thank you so much for linking to my post on the blessings and responsibilities in Ephesians. I was overwhelmed with Godโ€™s goodness once I found so many blessings within this short book. What a blessing you have given us all by consolidating posts that have been meaningful to you each month. This is a true gift! You have a very special ministry. God is smiling down on you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and give you His peace, all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places, all the treasures of His wisdom and knowledge, and His great and precious promises. 1. Pretty much. I picked out different images that were available to me on Canva (I didn’t create those images like the salt, earth, lines, etc) and then I put it all together. ๐Ÿ™‚
