This is it! The next to last post!! It’s both exciting and bitter for me, and I know a little sad for many of you. But no worries! I have multiple series in mind that are extremely similar. I will need the community to participate, and it will be in an alphabetical order!!! 🙂
Last time, we covered the letter “V” and here is what you came up with.
Loved by the King of kings “Varieties – God loves variety; you can see it in creation, and you can see it in the variety of personalities and giftings in the church.”
My Way Home Life– “Virtuous, for the Proverbs 31 woman I am ever striving to be.”
Rejoicing In Hope– “Valuable.”
Other words were victory and valiant.
Scriptures shared by the community.
(NLT) Romans 8:37, “No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.”
(NASB) 1 Corinthians 12:4-6, “Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons.”
(NASB) Isaiah 9:06, “And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.”
(NASB) Philippians 1:18b-20, “…Christ is proclaimed; and in this I rejoice. Yes, and I will rejoice, for I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.”
Matthew 10:29-31, “Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.”
Psalm 108:13, “With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.”
1 John 5:4,5, “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?”
Thank you, everyone!!!! Awesome words and scripture choices!!
This week’s letter is W
Worker- A person who works particularly in a specified field.
We are the Lord’s workers, laborers. We are told in scripture that the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. We all are given abilities, talents, and gifts. We all have a calling in the Lord. We cannot forsake it. And we can’t be afraid to step out when we don’t feel equipped immediately because often times God will equip us along the way.
Wonder- A feeling of surprise mixed with admiration. caused by something beautiful, unexpected, unfamiliar, or inexplicable.
He is known as a God of Wonders for a reason. When Jesus walked people were drawn to Him. Even before He spoke. And then we have people who heard of His miracles, and people who met Him having faith in Him. The woman, the servant, and so many more.
(NIV) Mark 9:15, “As soon as all the people saw Jesus, they were overwhelmed with wonder and ran to greet Him.”
What other W words can you think of that describe Christ, a relationship with Christ, or something similar?
The next post will be X, Y, Z altogether. If you would like your words for X, Y, and Z on that post let me know in the comments below.
I am planning on doing a recap post for the series afterward so you will have two more chances to come up with X, Y, and Z words. You can be as creative as you want. 🙂 Some people have picked ex-words for X, which is fine.
Month Scripture (MSG) Galatians 6:9-10, “So lets not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest good crop if we don’t give up, or quit. Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith.”
