Last week, I shared my first post on this, which you can read here if you would like a full explanation. One of my favorite songs for many years started playing on my iPod, and I thought I should sit down and just write what comes to my heart.
I was encouraged to share these posts because many people struggle with knowing how to pray. Thank you, Ruth ❤ your encouragement really helped.
This is a little personal and not everyone will relate to all parts, but there are other parts of this I know we all can come to God with.
May this speak to you and continue to give glory to Him as you read it.
Here is the song that inspired the words in my heart to the Lord- Everything by Lifehouse.
I need You, like when I was young. When You pointed to the center of four roads. When I was four, and told me, “Child I have you right now.”
You gave me a map. And it was blank. No colors, Lord. No direction. And yet You smiled. And said this is it. All you need. It is all here.
“Just hold My hand, and you will see. I am everything. I’ll get you through the darkest storm, just cling to Me.”
People laugh. They misunderstand. My trembling hands are fearing this world. My brokeness steals Your light away. I take the spotlight and I try to control.
Oh, Holy King, Almighty Lord. Help me see You, Lord. May my spirit listen to You despite this world. Help my words reflect You, Lord. Help me see with You. To move in darkness when I can’t see because You are with me.
Cause You’re everything. You are the way. You’re my reason. My reason. You are the center. You’re my north star. You’re everything, everything. You’re the light. You are the way. When I can’t see, You see for me. You get me through everything.
Make us bow our knees to the Righteous One. Almighty, Holy Lord. Lord, break the way, have mountains fall in front of You and me. Help me get through all of this so glory be Your name. Let angels sing, let the earth cry, “Almighty, Almighty You are our king.”
You’ll get us through. When we can’t see, You will see despite everything.
…You pointed to the center and said, “It begins right here.”
Amen. Glory be to Him.
Month Scripture (MSG) Galatians 6:9-10, “So lets not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest good crop if we don’t give up, or quit. Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith.”
