Exhausted In Sorrow

Have you ever been completely exhausted and wiped out? Depression. Grief. Stress. We feel overwhelmed. We feel stuck. We struggle to see where we will go from here.

Get up.

Take a step forward.

It’s not over.

Our vulnerabilities only grow more when we lay down our shield and sword. Sometimes when we get so consumed with hardships and trials we don’t go to God. We don’t praise Him, and we certainly do not seek Him.

Seek Him because you need Him.

I need Him.

We all need Him.

(NIV) Luke 22:45, “When He rose from prayer and went back to the disciples, He found them asleep, exhausted from sorrow.”

  4. Great and inspiring post T.R. about seeking after God. I like in the post when you said, “Our vulnerabilities only grow more when we lay down our shield and sword.     When we lay down our vulnerabilities, we can begin to see that even in our trials that there is always something to praise teh Lord for.

    1. Weakness isn’t a problem when we are with the Lord, definitely there is always something to praise Him for. But I think we aren’t with Him our weaknesses become the center focus. If we embrace our weaknesses with the Lord, as you said, we see what the truth is in the trial. But if we embrace our weaknesses without Him, there is no hope.
