In the world we live in it is SO easy to be caught up in everything we “think” we know. People can puff us up in the vain lie of how much we have studied, or how much we have taken time to discuss life, scripture, theology, God, what have you.
We need to make sure we are not caught up in the lie that what we know is always true. Just because the group around us believes things to be true does not mean it may be true. God has a way of opening our eyes, and whether or not we actually listen to Him is entirely different.
(NIV) 1 Corinthians 3:18, “Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise.”
Just something to think about.
Has God ever corrected you on something you thought to be true?
Month Scripture (NIV) Job 2:10, “Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?”
