Community Prayer Request | September ’18

This post is updated, sometimes daily, please check in for updates, answered prayers, and for continued prayer over the requests. Thank you!

Let’s work together on prayer by praying for each other and lifting up our needs. Christ said where two or more are gathered in His name, and there are definitely more than two of us. Let us come together to Him even if we are miles apart. Let us lift up our brothers and sisters in Christ and anyone who can join the body of Christ.

Purpose- Draw Closer To God, Draw Closer To The Community, See Answered Prayers

I want us as a community to pray for a month. I want to work on giving time to Christ and increasing faith. Prayer can be one of the most powerful ways we go to Christ, we are to come to Him boldly, and believe.

Please Comment Below –

– If God reached out to you during this month of prayer, please share how He reached you down below. Whether prayer was listed or not.

– If you would like your request listed, please comment below. If you do not want to say details just say unspoken, and I will add it. God will know what the unspoken is. 🙂

Here are the prayer requests for the month of September

UPDATE- BibleBlogerGirl let me know that R.C. is doing better! R.C. has been struggling with cancer.

Faithonthefarm- Request For Healing“About six weeks ago, a young woman at my church was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She has three children who are 5 and under, and her husband is our worship leader. She is very well loved, and a woman of great faith. Her name is Rachel. She started chemo about 2 weeks ago.”

Restorationministry – Request For Provisions-  “Please pray for provisions for my mom and I. I also pray for everyone to receive answers to their prayers in Jesus Name.”

Simply Megan Joy- Request For Healing For GrandmotherI have a prayer request for my Grandmom. She had hip surgery last week and is living in a rehab for awhile. She is not happy about any of this and it’s been really hard on my mom. Please pray that my Grandmom recovers quickly without complications and is sent home where she is happy, and that God gives my Mom abundant strength to deal with this new hardship.”

UPDATE Ruth gave me an update for her mother. “My mom is able to walk better now, praise the Lord. But her dementia is getting worse, and the doctors have found what appears to be a mass in her right lung. We have a pet scan scheduled, a breathing test, and a follow up in 3 weeks with a pulmonologist.”

Loved By King of Kings– Request For Wisdom & Healing–  “Prayers needed for wisdom for all who have a part in caring for my parents. Praying that Mom’s sugar levels will go down and she will get extra care givers if/as she needs them.”

Anonymous- Request for wisdom and jobMy prayer request for this month will be to obtain more wisdom concerning the Word of God, drawing nearer to God and for a full time job.”

Rosario353- Request for guidance and clarity– “I feel like God is calling me to do some things but I need clarity for it’s a big step that requires full and utter trust in Him.”

(If you would like to be more involved their facebook page is here)

MiaUPDATE – the surgery will be postponed till after the vacation because of possible complications and longer healing time. So, please lift up Mia, the doctors, and the surgery. Let’s give this to God before she goes in.

Request for speedy healing– Mia has (an upcoming) surgery. She requests a speedy recovery and no complications.

Request for family’s salvation, guidance, and protection.- ” I’d like to request an ongoing prayer for the salvation of my family here and in New Zealand. As far as my writing goes, more specifically I need wisdom, words, creativity, courage, clear thinking, perseverance, productivity, and the Lord’s will to be done (hopefully that includes for me to get this rough draft finished by Nov 1st). I feel like there’s some spiritual warfare going on regarding my writing, so I also ask for all spirits of fear, doubt, discouragement, and distraction to be bound in Jesus Name, Amen.”

Vivian– Request for healing– “I would love prayer for my healing, especially my nervous system and cranial nerves from TBI.”

Leigh– Request For Church“My church, which has been open 65 years, is on the verge of closing. There are just too many problems with the physical building that we are going to have to move. We will be relaunching in January as a new church with a new name and most likely will have to meet in schools until we find a new building to call our own. Please pray that everything goes smoothly as we transition in this phase of life.”

Rescheduled Hearing– Leigh has been asking prayer for a hearing on her disability and getting help because she cannot work. It was supposed to happen this past June, but then got rescheduled for later, closer to the fall. Please lift her up and ask the Lord for His hand, assurance, and deliverance in Leah’s life.

Sue Love & Her Husband – Request for prayer against deception and darkness as there is spiritual warfare going on. Continued prayer for Sue to feel assurance, guidance, and direction from the Lord: “Need prayer for strength, courage, wisdom, joy, peace, and for resting in the Lord.”

– Request for her husband’s spirit to be pricked and refined by the Lord daily. For him to be truthful. To lay the past at the feet of Jesus, and to leave any sins there. And, pray for his father, as well, who is 90 years old, who has Alzheimer’s, and was just placed in a nursing home, and is not a believer in Jesus Christ. Please pray for his salvation, as well.

Tamara– Continued prayers for her son Elliott, and for Tamara to continue to advocate those with mental illness and those supporting loved ones with mental illness.

A friend’s brother–  Request for someone’s brother who has schizophrenia and he needs to be uplifted. I ask for prayers that he is surrounded by those who can support and help him. I ask prayers of strength for the family.  I also ask this friend of mine be uplifted against anxiety. That this friend feels continued assurance from God, and His teachings.

My Request- Please pray for God’s hand in the lives of myself and my husband. That God prepares a place for my husband to have a co-op and potentially be at a place he can work at after he graduates that is in his field. I ask for His hand on our household and finances and in my writing.

Remember, to pray for the lost, for the body of Christ, leaders to be strengthened, and believers to draw closer to God. We have some fellow bloggers in ministries in Italy and India, please remember them.

Pray for the Lord’s hand resting upon those being abused, trafficked, locked in addiction, those who feel unloved, and those suffering from illness.

Pray for the widows, the fatherless, the poor, the hungry, and pray for your own walk with Christ.

If you have a prayer request, or I missed posting it, please let me know in the comments below and I will list it in the prayer requests.

If your prayer has been answered please let me know.

  2. Hello, I have a prayer request. About six weeks ago, a young woman at my church was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She has three children who are 5 and under, and her husband is our worship leader. She is very well loved, and a woman of great faith. Her name is Rachel. She started chemo about 2 weeks ago. Despite statistics being against her, we believe she will be healed. Please pray for her! Her and her husband’s faith and confidence in Christ is so amazing to watch. God is faithful.

  3. An addition to my ongoing prayer, if you don’t mind…
I’m scheduled for surgery on Tuesday, so I’d like to request prayer for that. Specifically that it go well, that there are no unforeseen problems that make the surgery more than anticipated, and that my recovery is quick and complete, since we leave for vacation 4 weeks after surgery. 😳

      1. Update on my surgery: it has been postponed until after my vacation. I have too many risk factors that may result in a more complicated and lengthy surgery, and therefore recovery time. Risk factors include previous abdominal surgery and history of endometriosis, which both increase the chance of scar tissue. Also, previous adhesion formation and surgical removal means they may have formed again and that would complicate things. Adhesions are large bands of scar tissue that bind different organs together and the ones I had 23 years ago joined my uterus, bowel, and hip. The other risk factor, of course, is the gene mutation, which increases the chance that there might be something nasty hiding in there. Besides all that, taking a long plane flight (more than 2-3 hours) a few weeks after surgery increases the chances of pulmonary embolism and blood clots in the legs.
Anyway, I didn’t have a peace about it and the pre-op discussion with the doc confirmed why.
