Community Prayer | December ’18

This post is updated, sometimes daily, please check in for updates, answered prayers, and for continued prayer over the requests. Thank you!

Let’s work together on prayer by praying for each other and lifting up our needs. Christ said where two or more are gathered in His name, and there are definitely more than two of us. Let us come together to Him even if we are miles apart. Let us lift up our brothers and sisters in Christ and anyone who can join the body of Christ.

Purpose- Draw Closer To God, Draw Closer To The Community, See Answered Prayers

I want us as a community to pray for a month. I want to work on giving time to Christ and increasing faith. Prayer can be one of the most powerful ways we go to Christ, we are to come to Him boldly, and believe.

Here are the prayer requests/updates for the month of December 

Pkadams– Request for husband – She asks that he trusts and seeks God.

Singlikewildflowers– Request for daughter’s health– Her daughter Ellis has been extremely sick. Lift up her daughter in prayer.

Update On Leigh’s Church– They are called Prevail Church and they HAVE found a location. They will launch in March 2019. Please continue to lift up the church, and Leigh in prayer.

Steven– Request For Guidance – Steven has been experiencing a lot of stress in relation to health and finances as well as his current living situation. Ask that God provides an understanding regarding the people aware of Steven’s situation. That Steven receives direction on what he should do.

Update – on Leigh and disability– Leigh continues to struggle against being denied on her disability. Currently, she has been denied three times and is now looking into working at her previous employer. Continue to lift her up!

Leigh–  Guidance & Healing– Leigh has updated that she has been denied three times thus far on her disability. Currently, she is going to try to go back to work at her previous employer. She has also been struggling with neck pain the past couple of weeks Please lift her up right now, and continue to ask God that His hand is upon her.

Update- on Rachel, a mother with stage four cancer, –Yesterday, Rachel had a PET scan to assess the metabolic activity in the remaining liver lesions. THERE ARE NO MORE LEGIONS AND NO DETECTABLE CANCER REMAINING! … They will be taking a break from chemo and then continuing to rid her body of all active undetectable cancer cells. Preventing all recurrence and wiping out any remainder is the goal.”

Faithonthefarm– Prayer for Rachel– (see update) Rachel is doing a lot better! But she still needs prayer. Continue to lift her up!

Update- By Loved of King of Kings (Ruth) about her mother, “My mom doesn’t seem to have pain in her hip anymore. That’s a praise! Also, she has another CT scan of a spot on her lungs scheduled for mid-December. If the spot on her lungs has not grown, they’ll just keep an eye on it. “

Loved By King of Kings– Request for strength – “Special prayers for my sister and her family who have invited Mom & Dad to come live with them and prayers for all the arrangements that will have to be made for all that to come together.” & Continued prayer for her mother.

Eleanor– Request for healing and answers– Eleanor has been sick with dizziness, tiredness, nausea, and feeling worn down. There is no diagnosis at this point. She is struggling with schoolwork and feels overwhelmed. Lift her up for healing and answers. Ask God for His hand to keep directing her heart.

Evad Mac– Request for gentleness – “Prayer that I would learn how to be still, and that I would continue to let my gentleness be evident to all.”

Growing Through Something – Request for help and health– “For the ability to manage time as I progress through the final weeks of school and helping out with the puppies!” She requests prayer for the health of family and puppies.

Heather Davis– Request for unity– “I am praying for unity in the Body of Christ so we can become more effective at both sharing and living the gospel and so all people will know we are His disciples by the love we have for each other.”

Kelly Comeaux- Request for grandmother– “Please pray for my grandmother’s upcoming abdominal surgery. She almost went to be with the Lord last year around this time and He has graciously granted us more time.”

Joy18– Request for guidance– “My family is praying for guidance, we are going through a big life-changing test of faith right now.”

Sheritta Benn– Request for guidance – “Please keep me and my family in your prayers.”

Gatesinlife–  Request for healing and guidance – “I have a grandmother in rehab for a broken hip and now a broken femur, and two young siblings who are a bit lost and need guidance.”

Sue S– Request for healing– There is a woman at my home church who needs prayers. She is going through a lot of health stuff right now and I ask for God’s hand and healing.

Vivian – Request for renewed sight– Please pray that the Lord help Vivian. Ask for strength during this time both for Vivian and her daughter Julia. Ask that the Lord provide other means for Vivian to give her encouragement.

Request for healing– “I would love prayer for my healing, especially my nervous system and cranial nerves from TBI.”

Lovejoybalance– Request For Lifted Burden – She has shared she has been praying for the Lord to help her and for Him to lift a heavy burden, as well as His hand be on the situation.

Yourmerciesnew– Prayer For Guidance & Humility– “Please pray that I would continue to heal and that the Lord will use my tough times to help others. Pray especially for humility and guidance for me.”

Simply Megan Joy- Request For Healing For Strength & Guidance – “Please pray that God gives my Mom abundant strength to deal with this new hardship.”

Mia– Request for family’s salvation, guidance, and protection.- ” I’d like to request an ongoing prayer for the salvation of my family here and in New Zealand. As far as my writing goes, more specifically I need wisdom, words, creativity, courage, clear thinking, perseverance, productivity. I feel like there’s some spiritual warfare going on regarding my writing, so I also ask for all spirits of fear, doubt, discouragement, and distraction to be bound in Jesus Name, Amen.”

Sue Love & Her Husband – Request for guidance and family- “Thank you for those of you who have been praying for us. Continued prayer is needed. I, Sue, need prayer for strength, wisdom, discernment, perseverance, and endurance, and to not lose hope, but to stay the course, and to keep resting in God with regard to my husband and our marriage. Pray that I would keep trusting God with my husband and for my husband’s surrender of his life to Jesus Christ. For we are in a spiritual battle here against deception and darkness. Pray also for our unsaved family members, especially for Rick’s 90-year-old dad. Thanks!”

A friend’s brother–  Request for someone’s brother who has schizophrenia and he needs to be uplifted. I ask for prayers that he is surrounded by those who can support and help him. I ask prayers of strength for the family.  I also ask this friend of mine be uplifted against anxiety. That this friend feels continued assurance from God, and His teachings.

My Request- Please pray for God’s hand in the lives of myself and my husband. That God prepares a place for my husband to have a co-op and potentially be at a place he can work at after he graduates that is in his field. I ask for His hand on our household and finances and in my writing. Please lift up my home church as well. My pastor and the congregation. For protection, guidance, and renewal.

Remember, to pray for the lost, for the body of Christ, leaders to be strengthened, and believers to draw closer to God. We have some fellow bloggers in ministries in Italy and India, please remember them.

Pray for the Lord’s hand resting upon those being abused, trafficked, locked in addiction, those who feel unloved, and those suffering from illness. 

Pray for the widows, the fatherless, the poor, the hungry, and pray for your own walk with Christ.
