Community Spotlight | November ’18

Can you believe that we only have one more Community Spotlight to complete the whole year??? When God gave me the word “community” at the beginning of this year, I had no idea how He was going to teach me. I didn’t know what He was going to do with it. But I have seen so much of the community this past year, and I’m so grateful.

As always, this is never to make anyone feel like they need to make this list. I read A LOT of posts monthly and it would be too much to share every single one.

These are the posts that really spoke to me this month.

(New Spotlight) The Little Miss Encourager- The Cost Of Following Christ- We have a new Christian blogger in the community.  Her blog is all about encouraging others in Christ. What I really like about this post is she dives into Jesus’ response to the scribe, when the scribe said he would follow Christ, and she explains Jesus’ response to the man who said he had to bury his father first and what exactly that all entailed.

In the Hands Of The Enemy- “Denounce your faith in Jesus Christ and we will set you free.” This is a POWERFUL dream she experienced at NINE! I know people struggle when they listen to some of the dreams I’ve had as a kid, but God can give kids dreams too. I highly encourage you to read this one.

Ang Supremo: A Memoir – Little Miss delivers a powerful and heartfelt post about losing her father. There are moments God was helping her prepare for what would happen. There were moments this loving father appeared to have his hands stretched out to Christ. I know a number of you have shared how you have lost your own father. I hope this speaks to you.

Grace Over Pain Jehovah Mekoddishkem (M’Kaddesh)– Efua does a wonderful job explaining in detail what sanctification is and how we can work on it.

He Is Still A Good God! – Efua shares such a heartfelt testimony of how God worked in her life through trial and frustration. There were many things she struggled with and yet even in anger God continued to show her He was right there with her.

Refreshing SpiritThe Promise- Olivia writes again, and I’m so glad she is. This poem is about how people make promises. Promises they intend to keep but eventually fall. Some promises that were never intended to be kept. Yet, there is Someone who does.

JesskiddingWhy I Choose Not To Post Consistently– This post is a powerful reminder that God may not want our posts to go on our schedule. Maybe He will delay us in posting something because of our audience. Or, from my experience, maybe He changes topic idea or wants something to be posted immediately. It is important we follow what He places on our heart.

Best Dad Ever– If you don’t know what God is like as our Father Jess has covered this in a beautiful way!

Planted By Living Water–  Doggie Lessons On Thankfulness– A really sweet post in which we can take some lessons from a dog.

Love Joy BalanceOmniscient Love – What a beautiful post covering one of my favorite chapters of Psalms. This post is all about Psalms 139 and diving deep into God’s love for us.

Biblebloggergirl- Who’s The Best? – Shae shares a really honest post about something she struggles with, competitiveness. I really relate to her openness and appreciate the honesty.

Retrospective Lily-Reading Scripture Milk Vs Solid Food– Lily shares a really thought-provoking post on if we read only one verse a day is that really helping us become more mature? She digs into what it means to be on the milk and on the meat.

May We Praise Him In The HighestThe King Who Was And Is To Come.Lift Up Your Banner Holy PeopleAnd Praise Him As One.

Monthly Scripture- (NIV) Romans 1:17, “For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed–a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”

    1. 🙂 if you would like to know more of the community I have more community spotlights for every month aside from December. There are so many wonderful bloggers to encourage you and others in faith.

    1. Thank you so much!!!! I’m doing pretty good! The cold air has definitely hit and there is a chill. Trying to get posts written ahead of time before I spend time with family. 🙂 God bless you!

      1. That’s great planning! Hope the writing goes well before family get-togethers. Maybe spending time with them will inspire future posts. Have that notebook ready!!
Definitely chilly…winter will be here soon enough. Stay warm and healthy. 🙂

      2. 🙂 thanks!! I have an app on my phone for notes and I always keep it ready for post ideas. I have so many ideas, not always the time. It used to bother me but now it doesn’t. I want to be content with everything. I went from having no ideas when I started blogging to learning how to be inspired a lot more. I’m grateful. You also stay warm and healthy!!!

  1. I’m fairly new to the Chrisitan Blogging world but truly appreciate your dedication. Your community spotlight really allows us to get a hold of other bloggers and their content. You’re doing great work here. Thank you. Many blessings.
