Plans For This Week & Goals For This Blog (Your Feedback)

I have had a topic on my heart especially since last week. I see a need for it because people have been looking up the topic and get led to a particular post on my blog (which is now one of my highest viewed posts for the year). That post didn’t really go into detail about the topic, but since it keeps getting brought up… the need is there. I want to dig into scripture and really hope that it blesses people with the truth, and above all, gives glory to God. Hint: It is connected to the End of Times.

I have so many things I want to try to write about. I have so many topics and ideas God has graciously put on my heart to write down, but I never get the time to write about them all. I’m still struggling with my book writing because blogging takes up a lot of time, and because it does reach more people with the truth of the Gospel and Christ, it does have a priority over the book. But I really want to work on finding a set time and be consistent with the book.

God certainly has been kind in showing me how writing is a ministry.

I have been taking to heart your feedback. Those of you who kindly gave me feedback in regards to what you want to see on the blog *if you haven’t you can here. Obviously, the community means a lot to you and so I will continue to do my community posts, spotlights, and blogger introductions. This month is a little behind because the week I would do the Community Spotlight and Quotes I wanted to have a series of posts about our Savior and understanding Him.

I am behind in catching up with many people’s blogs. Maybe that could be a separate topic. 🙂

But you have also shared you do like life posts. I’ve been thinking of talking about more stories or situations in my life, especially in regards to being a teen. I really feel like I want to share how God was with me then and is now, but there were things I struggled with.

I recently had a dream that I was a teen again. In my mind, I thought, “What am I going to do?” Then I knew immediately, “Be an example.” I clearly cannot be a teen again, but I can share what God gave me. How He was there, and where I fell short. Being a teen isn’t easy, but being Christian also adds a lot of things, both beautiful and stressful.

5 Christian Songs

Another piece of feedback that got brought up was music. I’ve been thinking of maybe trying to incorporate a song to check out at the end of my posts. Maybe sharing particular songs that I connected to and God spoke to me to. I do want to try to continue my workout Christian songs. (I do have a workout playlist if you would like to give it a listen, there are 57 songs on it already.)

But if you are looking for music posts (they will continue to be more sparse), please check out the category Song Sunday. I did Song Sundays for over a year (2017-2018), every week (I have 62 posts). Song Sundays List

It had started to feel repetitive, tedious, and I didn’t really feel like the community was connecting to the posts, but admittedly that was purely because I was looking at overall comment numbers (sadly, not individuals!).

As you might be aware, I have really tried since to work on not focusing on numbers, and especially my comment numbers. Some people are silent readers, but that doesn’t mean they are not engaged!

I’m trying to work on making sure I do have some shorter posts because I know not everyone is into long ones. My posts with multiple scriptures tend to be long, which is why last week I started to reference more. This allows more scripture, but less wording. I will still have particular scriptures listed because I know people are not going to look up scriptures most of the time. So I want some references there for people to get the word of God.

I’m excited about these changes and working towards sharing more open posts as well that still are wrapped in the truth and love of Christ.

Thank you, everyone, for your kindness and help as I work towards these developments in my blog.

Monthly Scripture – (NIV) 2 Corinthians 4:02, “Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God.”

  1. I’m excited to see how God is working in your life and leading you on your blog!
On the references idea, I’ve seen some bloggers do the reference as a link that the reader can click and read if they choose to. That way the wording is still less, so less intimidating, but the Scripture is there for those who want to check it out.
    Blessings, sister! 🙂

    1. That’s certainly an idea and makes it easier. I have so many scriptures I add sometimes…so I may be lazy in the additional work of linking. But I really like that idea, so I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks!!

God be with you my dear sister!
