Community Spotlight | March ’19 Highlights

We officially reached spring! The months fly by! I wanted April to have my posts focused on the message of the Savior shown leading up to Easter, which is why Community Spotlight and Quotes both got pulled back. 🙂 Thanks for your patience!

Reminder, this is NEVER to make anyone feel like they need to make this list. I’m sharing the posts that spoke to me in the month of March.

(My Way Home Life) MeredithBeyond The Sunset–  This is a really sweet post about Meredith’s grandmother in law named Elsie. How working hard with our hands means something. Elsie was a woman of canned goods and detailed letters. She brought back reminders of a time when things were slower and people gathered together for work and food. I hope this post encourages you the way it did me.

(Double Edge Sword) Evad Mac- God’s Will And Your Willingness– I really like the truth of this. Dave shares how to go more in-depth with prayer and what we should be seeking from God on the daily.

The Word In The Wilderness– Why didn’t Christ use His power in the wilderness when tempted? Dave covers this in detail.

(Tizzie Tidbits) Grace 3 Ways To Wreck Your Self Esteem– I really love how she points out the self-esteem is not really talked about in the Bible but there are things we can expose ourselves to, or be struggling with that dampen our self-esteem.

Who You Might Be Neglecting At Church– I love the reminder that people serve the Lord in all sorts of ways. We should be mindful and grateful of all of these contributions, especially those who go unseen.

(Follow Him Beside Still Waters) GraceAccomplishments And Achievements – I really love how Grace is so open in this post and I know that isn’t always easy to do. She shares how the sense of accomplishment was becoming an idol through gaming and being consistent at getting awards.

FIRST FEATURE -(Living Like A Green Olive Tree) VannessaWhat Is Hope – I love how Vanessa digs into hope and how easy it is for us to struggle with having hope.

Sing Like WildflowersThoughts About Daily Life’s Hiccups– I know moms can relate, and I love the question she poses about trusting God through the chaos.

(Planted By Living Water) Ruth- Clean Sanctuaries– I love the realness Ruth shares of when she struggled with anger over a place she related to a sanctuary. But as God reminded her, the sanctuary we approach is not a physical place, in a specific spot. It’s deeper than that and more obtainable.

Beauty From Praise And Joy- This is a beautiful post that I am so glad Ruth reblogged from the past. A reminder to praise the Lord in ALL situations.

(Grace Over Pain) EfuaContentment Or Laid Down Hope– This is a deep post and convicting, so be prepared to look at your heart. I love the truth Efua brings up. We are claiming true contentment or “saying” what we experience is contentment.

FIRST FEATURE – (Freedom Letters)Who Is The One – If you are a single Christian, this post is for you. How are we preparing for our bride or groom? Are we putting our future spouse on a pedestal? Where is God in all of this? Freedom Letters is a newer blogger, and she explains these questions.

*Reminder if you have prayer requests for May let me know, Community Prayer for May will be coming up next week.

Monthly Scripture – (NIV) 2 Corinthians 4:02, “Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God.”

Community Prayer April 2019– Join us in requesting prayer, praying for each other and lifting each other up.
