I feel exciting news like this deserves cupcakes, so I’m serving virtual cupcakes today as a celebration!
Now, I have done a blog tour before, and I have helped be a test reader for multiple people. But for the first time, I’ve been reached through email to receive a free copy of a book to review from someone who found me first. *Little dance party
The book I’ll be reading is a pretty serious one. It’s non-fiction and my favorite, of course, IT’S CHRISTIAN! It’s all about Christian perfectionism. How the world is all about perfection, and scripture says we are to be perfect like God. Yet, we know the two are NOT the same. It’s intimidating to be that holy. What does that mean anyway?
This topic I’d love to dive more into so the timing was incredibly special.
Book Publicity Service reached out to me. You can check out their Twitter here. After I was initially told about the book, and it greatly piqued my interest, I got a free copy to review and that deserves virtual cupcakes for everyone!
For a little preview:
Crosslink Publishing Announces the Upcoming Publication of New Christian Lifestyle Book ‘The Paradox of Perfection: How Embracing Our Imperfection Perfects Us’
The book is written by Jeffery S. Reber and Steven P. Moody, both are educators and therapists. It is currently available for pre-sale on Amazon and in Barnes & Noble if you would like to find out additional information.
When I cover the full review I will include more in-depth information on the book.
I’m really grateful for this opportunity and I wanted to share it with my amazing blogging Christian family. You have been so wonderful as a community and helping me not only as a blogger but also as a fellow sister in Christ.
Thanks!

What are your thoughts on Christian perfectionism? How do you think people struggle with it or have you, perhaps, struggled with it yourself?
Monthly Scripture – (NKJ) Isaiah 54:17, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord.

Yes, here’s the link to it: https://myredemptionforhisglory.wordpress.com/2019/03/21/from-rule-follower-to-christ-follower-a-testimony/
In it, I talked a fair bit about my perfectionism idol.
Praise God that He rescues from idolatry!

Congrats! This sounds like a great book and one that will be a challenge and encouragement to many.
I definitely struggle with perfection and have to be mindful of these tendencies of mine. I’m learning to accept my imperfections as beautiful and bring them to God instead of trying to hide them under a facade of perfection.

Amen, I love this! It’s not about hiding but going forward with our imperfections and issues. 😊

Congratulations!🎈🎉
None of us are perfect as Christians so we have the Holy Spirit to help us. The Christian walk is more joyful when we realize only the Lord can get us to where we need to be. We should take one day at a time.
Philippians 1:6 NLT, “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.”
