Quotes From YOU | August ’19

Whoops, I meant for this post to get out last week, but things happened. I can’t believe August was over a month ago! These are quotes that were written by the community in August of 2019 or before. This particular collection of quotes happens to share a few themes together. I never plan this, but it’s always a blessing when this happens! I hope you find a quote that speaks to you.

“Christians seem to simply forget the importance of reading their Bible and praying. It’s not that they refuse to spend time with God; they just don’t make a habit of it.” Meredith (My Way Home Life)

“Many times, I find myself trying to accomplish something without God’s help, then just getting anxious or failing miserably. I end up feeling sorry for myself and getting even more wrapped up in my own little world of problems. Why would I do this to myself?!” Shae (Biblebloggergirl)

“Did we truly pursue God and glorify Him with our lives, or did we make excuses–we’re too busy, too tired, too young, too old, too shy, too inadequate to share our gifts, our time, and our love?” Lily (Retrospective Lily)

“He deserves our praise in every storm we face no matter how hard or how scary or real they are. When we praise God, the world looks at us in wonder, and marvels at our faith in our Savior as we journey these valleys keeping our eyes on Him.” Vivian (God’s Whispers Of Truth)

“One of the hardest things for me to do is love perpetually, deliberately difficult people!” Brenda (Becoming HIS Tapestry)

“Suddenly all the things that weighed me down don’t seem so massive I don’t even realize that they exist. Because when you are in his presence, nothing else matters.” (Virtuous Women)

“So when the whole world says to you “you got nothing to offer”. Instead of running away or feeling all humiliated, remember one thing; God created you for a purpose and you are fearfully and wonderfully made by Him.” Chomskyweb

“My biggest concern before knowing Jesus was not knowing what is to come, being so disappointed in myself, and I never knew I didn’t know what peace felt like.” Ashley (Daily Dose Of Ashley)

Referring to a sacrifice of praise “It is a sacrifice when our flesh really doesn’t feel like praising but we push through our emotions and command our spirit, soul and body to praise God.” Efua (Grace Over Pain)

“I grew up believing that God existed and was for me but my experiences made me feel otherwise. I couldn’t correlate my faith with real life!” Rosario (Sharing And Spreading The Knowledge And Uncontainable Love Of Christ)

“And I despaired, for I saw no one to save. But God saw, too. And when He saw that there was no intercessor, He Himself stretched out His arm to save.” Olivia (Refreshing Spirit)

“I think in today’s day and age people crave honesty. I believe people need Christ and they need hope.” Autumn (Autumn Wood Writes)

  1. My Way Home Life and and the foundational reminder that it all begins, exists, and ends with Bible study and prayer. I’m currently experiencing my own revival in this area and finding incredible new hope, courage, strength and victory that I forgot was at my disposal simply by pressing into the most basic tenants of our faith consistently and not just “when I feel like it”. Great post, great blog ❤️🙏

    1. ❤ Ever since last year I felt God press me with community and this was a way to just be grateful for everyone I've met and to give glory to God. Not everyone listed here is new. But it is always nice to be able to share newer bloggers, too 😊
