When You Feel Invisible

When you feel invisible

and it feels like no one is there.

When you feel invisible

like no one even cares.

Do you exhale a breath,

as you see the sun outside?

Do you see the trees

dancing, not afraid to hide?

They move with a free spirit

whether spring or winter.

Your heart, my friend, is the same.

Whether warmed or bitter.

The trials and tribulations,

that make us feel alone,

are like a torch to our soul

because God is our true home.

He sees your every step.

He feels your every tear.

Desiring to hold you close

because the Lord is always near.

No battle can defeat Him.

No enemy can draw Him away.

No, whenever you speak to Him,

He’ll hear what you have to say.

As long as you are honest

and your words come from your heart

He’s always here to listen

Never to depart.

You are NOT invisible.

You are NOT alone.

You are heard always.

You are His own!

I know we could all use this encouragement, but this poem is inspired and directed at a sister in Christ very close to me. She was definitely an answer to prayer, and I’m so grateful for how the Lord has provided in our friendship and as sisters. This is for her especially, but also for anyone who has these down days! WE ARE A CHILD OF THE KING!

Monthly Scripture – (NIV) 1 Peter 4:18, “And, “If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”
