Quotes From You | November & December ’19

Where is our reality? Do we mask our sin? God is faithful. He helps us command our soul. We must not forget everything God has done for us, like the people of Israel did, but being open to the Lord means He will use us.

This is only a summary of a theme we see in today’s Quotes From You. God’s faithfulness and mankind struggling to rely on Him.

These were the quotes that spoke to me in the months of November & December.

“He is still faithful even when our minds cannot comprehend what is happening around us.” Efua (Grace Over Pain)

“Many are not hungry for God because they are filled with junk. Until we starve ourselves from junk, we cannot and will not hunger for Him.” Efua (Grace Over Pain)

“I’ve been learning what it looks like to command my soul to not fear, to hope in God, to rest in the Lord. I always know in my head that I should do those things, but the recent uproar meant I had to actively choose them against a temptation to fear and despair.” Olivia (Olivia In Bolivia)

“God is continuing to teach me to command my soul – to command it to not fear in the midst of the storm in Bolivia. To command it to rejoice even when the future is uncertain. To command it to love even when I’m tired.” Olivia (Olivia in Bolivia)

“Like the people of Israel who had witnessed the parting of the Red Sea as well as the Jordan, I grumbled about the battles before me instead of pausing to remember with gratitude God’s miraculous work in the immediate past.” Lynn (Through Ink & Image)

“Perhaps we can try to remember that a digital throne is just that–digital, i.e., not real.” Lily (Retrospective Lily)

“As long as I remain open to God’s plan, he can do incredible things through me. They may not happen right now like I want them to, but I can’t see God’s plan. ” Shae (Teen Meet God)

“I find that many people who are caught up in sinful practices make it their practice to minimize their sin and to call it something else, both to alleviate guilt and to excuse away their sinful behaviors.” Sue (Run With It)

“Despite the darts that were thrown my way, given up was never an option. I knew I had come too far to give up. God’s grace and presence was so strong.” Efua (Grace Over Pain)

“Be thankful for my blessings. I need to name them one by one, because I am prone to forget, in my eagerness for the next thing. ” Brenda (Becoming HIS Tapestry)

      1. These were the only quotes I had selected for those months, and I thought it was better for them to be together versus trying to make two separate posts of quotes, which I did the same for community spotlight. But it does get tricky picking out which ones I want to spotlight sometimes, so I’m glad people enjoy it.

Currently, there are two quotes of yours I’m debating on for January, and I may leave both if I can’t decide. Lol!! But the newest quote came from your post yesterday ❤

January I've been on top of, so I'll go back to having one month's spotlights. 🙂

      2. I very much relate and actually your post encouraged me to keep writing what the Lord shows me. Yesterday, I posted on a topic I know is tough for people, and seeing your post was encouraging to keep focusing on Him.

I have another post I am putting some research into, and hoping next week it will be ready. But it is a dosy! I didn’t WANT to write on it because I’m sure a lot of people think it’s debatable, but there are concerns.

God’s been showing me and reminding me to put everything in light of scripture, even things we think are okay. I recently told Shae some things I learned about with yoga, and shared a site that had some really interesting Christian points from an ex yoga instructor. I’m not doing yoga again, and now looking at alternatives with stretches.

It’s stuff like that I want to discuss on here, properly, with scripture to encourage people just to go to Christ ❤ It isn't always easy but it's for His glory. And I wrote on my second blog today in a poem, He is, He is always with us ❤

Thank you so much for your encouragement in your posts and comments!!! I truly appreciate you and Shae in this community and how the Lord has used you for His glory!
