Cry Out For Jesus In This Weary World

Sheltered in place.

Windows are locked.

Car keys on hook.

Closed in.

Yet, in the stillness

thoughts race.

In the quiet,

fear screams.

Some wonder where You are.

Some think this is Your judgment.

Some think conspiracy.

Some ask why.

My eyes fail from searching Your word, saying, “When will You comfort me.?”*

Yet, in the midst of uncertainty.

It is not the walls that give comfort.

It is not the washing of hands.

Oh, Comforter, it is solely in You, my hiding place.

You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word.*

The doubts and fears beckon.

The worries pile in my heart.

Doubt of others encourages.

To let go of You, and hold to myself. Control.

You are near, O Lord, and all Your commandments are truth.*

My flesh and spirit fight.

The world and people fight.

I want to hold to You,

but my hands are weary.

Revive me according to Your lovingkindness, so that I may keep the testimony of Your mouth. I am afflicted very much; revive me, O Lord, according to Your word.*

Sustain me, Lord.

Help me equip Your armor steadfastly.

Let me cling to You instead of fear.

Show me Your ways.

My lips shall utter praise, for You teach me Your statutes. Let Your hand become my help, for I have chosen Your precepts.*

You are the Lord of Lords.

You are the King of Kings.

Nothing surprises You.

This, too, You will use.

I will lift up my eyes to the hills – from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.*

How are you holding up in the midst of chaos?

– I took an unintended break. I hope to get back to schedule. 🙂

    1. Yes! It was very unique as I do not usually do this, but I loved adding the scriptures and their impact! God’s word is so good and powerful! I’m grateful today I finished Psalm 119 and He used it to illustrate to me some of His truths.
