Light | Meditate On Scripture

Edited (08/12/2020)- The purpose of this series is to meditate on scripture in its proper context. This is an older series that I’ve changed the title to. I’ve edited the scripture to meditate on, how to meditate on it, and a little of how to pray over the scripture.

Meditate- To ponder or contemplate.

Scripture to meditate on- (NIV) Luke 11:34, “Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy, your body also is full of darkness.”

How to meditate on this scripture“Through salvation in Jesus Christ, I can have the light of Christ in me. But I must learn to walk in the Spirit by following the words of Jesus. It is easy for sin to take over and make me captive. A “little” sin still corrupts. I need to seek Jesus and ask for forgiveness and repent.

Scripture to pray over–  (NLT) Luke 11:35, “Make sure that the light you think you have is not actually darkness.”

How to pray over this scripture“Lord, Jesus, please keep me accountable. Please convict me when I am not doing what is pleasing to You. Please search my heart and reveal what is not of You. Amen.”

Monthly Scripture – (NKJ) Psalm 85:10, “Love and faithfulness meet together; righteousness and peace kiss each other.”

Luke 11_39-40, _...so careful to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside you are filthy–full of greed and wickedness. Fools! Didn’t God make the inside as well as the outside_
