With Halloween in the air, many people are encouraged and become curious about the undead and talking to spirits. Last week, I shared a video from Melissa in which she shares her experience of going to a psychic. See here | Recommended Christian Video: The Time A Christian Visited A Psychic
This week I would like to share another one of Melissa’s video. This one she did over on the channel Cross Examined. On Cross Examined, you can find other YouTubers who do spotlights on topics, but majority of it is focused on founder and president, Dr. Frank Turek, co-author of I Don’t Have Enough Faith To Be An Atheist. The goal of the channel is show how Christianity is true using the world around us and pointing out how the Bible makes the same claims. Cross-Examined shares debates and also covers current topics and how they relate to the Christian.
Such as the topic of why does it matter if people seek out spirits if they do not exist.
Well, Melissa breaks down several points to show spirits are, in fact, quite real. She makes an excellent point that we cannot be restricted from something that does not exist, and then she proceeds to explain why God would restrict us.
The video is described as, ”Melissa Dougherty explains why God forbids his followers from contacting spirits, a common practice in the ancient near east, and yes, TODAY! Think you’re talking to Grandma? You’re not.”
Scripture To Memorize/Meditate On – (ESV) Romans 5:08, “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
