I remember when there was a rise of young women getting interested into witchcraft because of a movie. Now, it looks like witchcraft is once again becoming trendy.
In this podcast of Relatable, Allie goes over the various ways in witchcraft is becoming attractive to young women. The crystals, spells, and the like.
Even recently, I saw some commercial for children to play with spells and a magical cauldron. Witchcraft is becoming more and more acceptable, and the New Age practices continue to grow. As shared before with Enneagram Hidden Truth (Marcia Montenegro), these practices are not foreign to the church, sadly.
Meditation, astrology, positive vibes, Law of Attraction (which was discussed in Law Of Attraction Works & I’ll Never Use It Again (Nastasia Grace), and similar things are all included New Age practices. Many of these are being encouraged among proclaimed Christians. These are also part of witchcraft. Experiencing divination – see: Why Does The Bible Prohibit Talking To Spirits If They Don’t Exist? | Melissa Dougherty & Former Psychics Tell All & Warn Christians NOT To Have Psychic Readings (Doreen Virtue) other resources below.
It’s odd that witchcraft is now something that has become trendy and attractive. Yet, it’s not so odd when we see how common the New Age continues to encourage these practices with the appearance that “they’re harmless and fun.”
As others have pointed out, people are never going to be satisfied or content. There’s always going to be the next thing someone is going to try to fix his or her life. The answer is Jesus Christ. We do not have to work for our salvation. But witchcraft and the like is exhausting because an individual tries to hold her life all in her hands.
Allie’s podcast is called, Relatable. She analyzes Culture, Theology, and Politics from a Christian conservative perspective. Often, she covers daily topics, sometimes trending topics. Allie packs in a ton of research, and often statistics or other studies.
She also has a book out, “You’re Not Enough (And That’s Ok): Escaping The Toxic Culture Of Self-Love.”
Note: I make nothing from promoting books. I just like getting the word out.
