Notice this says “may.” No one can judge the heart, except God, and Allen shares that. I really appreciate this video because Allen makes the point that we need to hold ourselves accountable. We cannot merely go by what others tell us. We need to look at our lives and hold it up to the word of God.
This isn’t legalism. Scripture instructs us to look at our lives and see if we fall short.
Allen goes over essentials of salvation that are very important. There are things people cannot debate or disagree with regarding the Gospel. A fake Gospel and a fake Christ will lead someone to Hell.
This is why it is so important to understand what we claim to believe. This is why we need to be reading our Bibles every single day and studying. Even if we have to study in bite-sized portions, that’s okay! The goal is to spend time in God’s word. Listen to what He is saying, the Bible is living and breathing. You do not need to empty your mind and seek God in silence. God is LOUD and CLEAR in His word, that’s why He gave it to us.
