New Age, occult, sin, demonic-possession and more. Today’s video pick is a testimony I hope that encourages you about the power of Christ. Jesus, and only Jesus, breaks the bondage to sin. The Bible is where we find our answers, nothing else will ever be enough.
To encourage you to check out the video, I’ve summarized by taking the commentary given and turned it into questions, while listing a few key points.
- What is the connection of the occult and the first lie in Genesis?
- Background of Jac Marino.
- What attracted Jac to the occult?
- What experience did Jac have that had her feel like she was to go a particular path?
- What is the fascination with aliens? Why does it seem a lot of New Agers have a story of aliens?
- Why do people tend to draw toward a sense of control in their life? How does this connect to sin?
- How did the book The Secret affect her and influence her?
- Key Point: False Gospels use the same terms Christianity does. We must know the difference between true and mostly true, and simply not true.
- How did Jac get introduced to the New Age?
- The occult promises power and that attracts people to it.

- How is the feeling of being special a temptation for someone?
- What did Jac used to think Christianity was?
- What stood out to Jac about the people at the Order, what did they share in common with her?
- What’s the problem when people think they have “secret knowledge?”
- Jac thought there was an Occult Jesus. How did the Occult Jesus compare to the Biblical Jesus?
- Alisa Childers does have a video on Christ-consciousness –
- How is sorcery connected to taking drugs?
- Magic, white or black, is still magic, it’s still evil.
- The Enneagram is connected to the occult – see: Enneagram Hidden Truth (Marcia Montenegro)
- How is the hysterical laughing in the church connected to the occult? How is this not God?

The Gospel Message: With the Good News means there’s bad news. We all are sinners and condemned. We all deserve the just punishment of God’s wrath. Christianity is unlike any other religion because we cannot earn our way into Heaven. God saw the weakness of man and his utter depravity. Yet, He showed us grace. Jesus, God, One Person of the Trinity, became God in the flesh, the God-Man. He was always perfect and sinless. And His humanity was perfected on the cross, living the full sinless life. He became our atonement sacrifice. Dying in our place, taking on the wrath of God upon Himself. He died on the cross, and He was resurrected because death could not hold Him. Jesus is the answer. We, as guilty sinners, need His blood to pay off our debt of sin. For all who put their faith in Him – meaning eyes are opened to the Gospel, we see ourselves as a sinner, we see the need for Christ, we desire our Savior, and we see the ugliness of our sin. Putting our faith in Jesus, we seek HIs forgiveness and repent from our sins, we turn away from our old way of life. We, through the work of the Holy Spirit, continue to become convicted of sin daily. Our eyes will never be the same again. We see things in a different light, and the truth of Christ affects how we live and serve Him. Christ tells us to count the cost. Salvation is a serious topic, it is not to be taken lightly. This is an amazing video. I played it during a study hall when I was still teaching and it prompted an incredible conversation. May the Lord use it for His glory!

I so appreciate Jac sharing her story. I have a couple of other interviews coming up to recommend that share similar things. I think we can learn a lot through the testimonies of others. I really hope Christians, especially American Christians, see the issue of how easily Mythicism is getting into the church.

Agreed. But of course, it’s nothing new – even if it’s called “New Age!”

Agreed, nothing new under the sun. Sin is sin, no matter how cunning and deceptive it seems.

Precisely. I love how Jac shared that she realized she literally fell for the oldest trick…
