Welcome! If you are not familiar with my blog, I do a Community Prayer once a month. The goal is to help people find ways to grow more consistent in prayer. In this post, you will see there are not only ongoing prayer requests, but some items you can pray about every single day. Prayer does not and should not be intimating. There are so many things to pray about and thank the Lord for.
For 2023, I’m going to do the Community Prayer a little different this year. Mostly reorganizing. We will see how it goes. And I’ll also be sharing examples on prayer and how we can pray for various topics. I’ll have a prayer example once a month.
Prayer Example on Ways to Pray for the New Year – Prayer for the New Year
Somethings to Keep in Mind
This post is updated, sometimes daily, please check-in for updates, answered prayers, and for continued prayer over the requests. If you would like a request to be ongoing, let me know. Ongoing requests will stay up for at least 6 months. Thank you!
When Praying for Others
Make sure to pray for the salvation of those you pray for because temporal pains in this world will not last, but eternal damnation will. May we pray for our hearts to be more convicted about this truth.
Why We Need To Pray– We are commanded to pray. We need to lift up our struggles, sins, praise the Lord for all He has done in our lives, we need to pray for others, their struggles, that their eyes be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ, the Gospel message. We need to pray about the world around us, and the hardships others are facing. Prayer draws us closer to Christ. Prayer and reading God’s word go hand in hand. Prayer is NEVER taught to be in silence or emptying the mind. Prayer is full of words. We do not communicate in silence.
PRAISE REPORTS! – If the Lord has answered a prayer let me know.
Here are the prayer requests/updates for the month of January 2023
(If you see a * it means it is not a real name for privacy for families)

The Gospel Message– The Gospel message is good news, which means there’s bad news. We all are sinners and condemned. We all deserve the just punishment of God’s wrath. Christianity is unlike any other religion because we cannot earn our way into Heaven. God saw the weakness of man and his utter depravity. Yet, He showed us grace. Jesus, God, One Person of the Trinity, became God in the flesh, the God-Man. He was always perfect and sinless. And His humanity was perfected on the cross, living the full sinless life. He became our atonement sacrifice. Dying in our place, taking on the wrath of God upon Himself. He died on the cross, and He was resurrected because death could not hold Him. Jesus is the answer. We, as guilty sinners, need His blood to pay off our debt of sin. For all who put their faith in Him – meaning eyes are opened to the Gospel, we see ourselves as a sinner, we see the need for Christ, we desire our Savior, and we see the ugliness of our sin. Putting our faith in Jesus, we seek HIs forgiveness and repent from our sins, we turn away from our old way of life. We, through the work of the Holy Spirit, continue to become convicted of sin daily. Our eyes will never be the same again. We see things in a different light, and the truth of Christ affects how we live and serve Him. Christ tells us to count the cost. Salvation is a serious topic, it is not to be taken lightly. Scripture To Meditate On –(ESV) Colossians 1:15-16 – For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
