Prayer

Community Prayer for 2024

It is the sixth year I’ve done Community Prayer. I started originally in 2018 in hopes of growing with the blogging community.

What I am going to do for those who silently use the Community Prayer is I’m going to do one post for the year (this is it) and in each post, for the year, the link to Community Prayer will always link to this one.

If you want to give updates or request for prayer, please ask here. I’m going to leave some examples of how you can pray, request for a sister in Christ, and some requests for myself. So please let me know 🙂

When Praying for Others

Make sure to pray for the salvation of those you pray for because temporal pains in this world will not last, but eternal damnation will. May we pray for our hearts to be more convicted about this truth.

Why We Need To Pray

  • We are commanded to pray.
  • We need to lift up our struggles, sins, praise the Lord for all He has done in our lives.
  • We need to pray for others, their struggles, that their eyes be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ, the Gospel message.
  • We need to pray about the world around us, and the hardships others are facing.

Prayer draws us closer to Christ. Prayer and reading God’s word go hand in hand. Prayer is NEVER taught to be in silence or emptying the mind. Prayer is full of words. We do not communicate in silence.

PRAISE REPORTS! – If the Lord has answered a prayer let me know.

Things to Pray For in General/For the World

Pray For Our World –

  • For Christians living all over the world in persecuted countries.
    • We have some fellow bloggers in ministries in Bolivia, Italy, India, and Indonesia, please remember them.
  • For godly mothers making an impact and shaping the next generation
  • For godly men leading congregations and families
    – for the Lord’s protection and help.
  • For strength for American Christians to keep sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and not bend at the cancel-culture we live in.
    • Pray for the leaders in America (or your home country.)
    • Pray for your nation.
    • Pray that people be drawn to the Lord in your area and nation.
      – For strength for the Bride of Jesus Christ.
      – Pray for those affected by the hurricanes.
  • Pray for the Lord’s hand resting upon those being abused, trafficked, locked in addiction, those who feel unloved, and those suffering from illness. Most importantly that they know the love of Christ who breaks the bondage of sin and transforms us.
  • Pray for the widows, the fatherless, the poor, the hungry.
  • Pray for your own walk with Christ. Pray for wisdom and conviction to read His scripture, be disciplined, and seek repentance.
  • Continue Prayers For All Dealing With COVID-19. That we may show the love of Christ, be discerning, willing to listen to each other, and for the truth to shine.

Prayer Requests & Updates (Let Me Know in Comments)

Anonymous – I have PCOS and I believe its starting to affect me severely in terms of where I am experiencing traumatic pains in my womb and ovaries and also where I am experiencing bleeding.

Anonymous – A family is going through a lot. Depression, insanity, suicide, and witchcraft all seem to be involved. Please pray the family may be delivered from these things. Please pray if there are sins encouraging any of what the family is going through that the Lord would expose the sin(s) involved, and godly sorrow that leads to repentance. Please pray for protection as well.

Ways You Can Pray for Me

My Mother In Law- Request for healing and answers- Thank you for continued prayers! I am asking for your prayers that God ministers His truth to her. She has neuropathy. She struggles a lot. Please seek the Lord for answers and healing according to His will. She is asking prayers for a woman named Carol who is going through cancer right now.

Prayers for a friend needing conviction and direction to believe the Gospel. That she is encouraged to turn to Jesus.

My Request- Please pray for the guidance of the Lord’s hand. For His strength to be my encouragement. To be a godly wife and friend. For His direction in my writing. For protection, guidance, and renewal. To be able to minister to women the truth of Christ in life and on the blog.

The Gospel Message– The Gospel message is good news, which means there’s bad news. We all are sinners and condemned. We all deserve the just punishment of God’s wrath. Christianity is unlike any other religion because we cannot earn our way into Heaven. God saw the weakness of man and his utter depravity. Yet, He showed us grace. Jesus, God, One Person of the Trinity, became God in the flesh, the God-Man. He was always perfect and sinless. And His humanity was perfected on the cross, living the full sinless life. He became our atonement sacrifice. Dying in our place, taking on the wrath of God upon Himself. He died on the cross, and He was resurrected because death could not hold Him. Jesus is the answer. We, as guilty sinners, need His blood to pay off our debt of sin. For all who put their faith in Him – meaning eyes are opened to the Gospel, we see ourselves as a sinner, we see the need for Christ, we desire our Savior, and we see the ugliness of our sin. Putting our faith in Jesus, we seek HIs forgiveness and repent from our sins, we turn away from our old way of life. We, through the work of the Holy Spirit, continue to become convicted of sin daily. Our eyes will never be the same again. We see things in a different light, and the truth of Christ affects how we live and serve Him. Christ tells us to count the cost. Salvation is a serious topic, it is not to be taken lightly. Scripture To Meditate On  (ESV) 1 Corinthians 1:23-24 – but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
